The IABDM supports dentists, physicians and allied practitioners committed to integrating body, mind, spirit and mouth, and caring for the whole person. Through education, association and referral, we aim to advance biological dental and medical protocols as scientifically sound and effective therapies.
From clinical awareness backed by scientific study, we know that what happens in the mouth is reflected in the body—and what happens in the body is reflected in the mouth. Affirming this crucial link, the IABDM supports
- Mercury-free dentistry and the safe removal of mercury amalgam, with effective detoxification.
- The biocompatibility of dental materials.
- Appropriate cavitation surgery of dental focal infections and NICO (Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis), with thorough pre- and post-op care.
- Effective treatment of TMD and malocclusions.
- Diagnosis and treatment of dental and intra-oral conditions and associated structures based on our scientific knowledge of energy, electromagnetics, sound, light, acupuncture, homeopathy and nutrition, as well as the traditional scientific disciplines that constitute clinical dentistry and medicine.
- An integrated approach to body, mind and spirit, with diagnosis and treatment of the whole person.
- Respect for the dignity and individuality of every human being and the right to informed consent.
Above all, dentistry is a medical specialty. The IABDM recognizes the split between dentistry and medicine as both recent and false—a rift based on outdated concepts, not biology and nature.
Dentists can best serve their patients by working cooperatively with their colleagues. These include naturopathic, osteopathic, chiropractic and medical physicians; nutritionists; dental hygienists; acupuncturists and other allied health practitioners. Non-dental practitioners can best serve their patients through knowledge of biological dentistry and appropriately referring their patients when dental treatments and detoxification are needed.
